I would like you to know that we both said Godzilla was “dummy thicc” at the same time 😂 The way ever person/reaction I’ve seen cares so much for Noriko is so touching. I never would have expected this level of emotion from a Godzilla film.

One of the boats had a crane, the other boat had to go under that crane to prevent the cable from tangling. "I want Noriko to be okay." Oh dear.. uh, yes, no and maybe? He's still alive but seriously f'd up. The neck stuff are G-cells, they are helping her regenerate. Yeah, unless you are completely heartless, this movie will at least make you mist up.

He's not standing, he;s floating, some sea creatures have a special organ in their bodys they can use to regulate how buoyant they are. Also the music is the original Godzilla theme song.

I was wondering the same thing about Moldaver and how she survived. Maybe she was in some type of cryo tube like Vaultec had in 31. She wouldn't be a ghoul then, and that would explain how she's around 200 years after the initial bombs and why she can die. I saw some theories that she's a clone or a synth. ? Now, her relationship with Rose...they definitely looked like they cared for each other. Maybe that'll be explored later on.

I watched it on its first main day in theaters I watched it three times and then a fourth in black and white I have absolutely loved this movie if you can't guess but I've also been a Godzilla fan since the mid-70s when I first discovered him I've also watched it now over 40 times on Netflix I can't wait to own my own copy of this one

In the book Alex has a sister June, Bea is a WAY more interesting character, and they have way more out there interactions as a fivesome with Nora and Henry’s friend Pez. There’s more politicking on Capitol Hill, and the SO MANY emails between Alex and Henry develop from crude to lengthily explicit to lengthily romantic, with Postscript excerpts taken from real letters between secret queer couples amongst famous historical figures, including ‘American Founding Fathers. I think reading the book is essential if you fell in love with the film, to get all those glorious extras. But the scriptwriter, director and casting director did a fabulous job of preserving the romantic relationship at the heart of the book, as much as they could in film format. Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez burn the screen with their chemistry, they deserve to have roles flung at them. And all us queers absolutely need more rom coms and happy ever afters like this.

You are now combining different Godzillas I am pretty sure based on the time frame that they showed us within the movie The bikini atol was our normal operation crossroads which happened in our real world and Godzilla had happened to have gotten caught in it that was not a directed attack against him... We only hear about the attacks of the creature after that affect happened.. in the case of this it was dumb luck that he happened to have been in those Waters when the test happened... It doesn't make it any easier than other Godzillas have also used that test in their descriptions specifically in the monarch series

I'm pretty sure it was the head that had been blown off was no longer with the rest of his body that had the energy of his heat ray break it apart to the point that it would not regenerating but the top of the head that had been blasted off wasn't connected to that and eventually more of a master molecule style regeneration the top of the head where his brain would have been undoubtedly was that Master.. that part's my own theory I don't know if it's accurate but it sounds appropriate

The pieces that ripped off him were because of the shock wave and the angle any pieces that ripped off of him would have been in a similar place to wear Noriko was. One piece of his skin is all it would have taken to possibly add the Godzilla cells into her the director confirmed that she was infected with Godzilla cells

Noriko got a piece of Godzilla's flesh which allowed her to regenerate and survive his atomic breath, she'd be dead otherwise. That's what is hinted at by showing the black marks on her neck.

Noriko definitely have Godzilla blood in her and that's how she restored herself from the atomic blast.

American reactors just don’t understand : kamikaze pilots were supposed to hit American carriers to prevent the US bombers able to take off to bomb Tokyo civilians ( watch : grave of the fireflies)

When the eyes are formed within the regenerating cells, if the gentle, intelligent "Doc" nurtures them, the imprinting may result in a less aggressive Godzilla.

About Bakini Atoll.. It's so wild that noone remembers Godzilla's origin story. It's been shown a half dozen times... even in the awful '98 American version. 😂

While Luke's argument may sound ok at first, it falls apart when you realize he's joining with KRONOS to overthrow the gods. That's like in Star Wars saying the New Republic isn't doing a good job, so you decide to resurrect the Emperor to destroy them... oh wait. 😅

As a parent, it is aweful to watch your kid struggle and be powerless to stop it, but parenting is BEING THERE while they struggle, not running away to protect yourself from their pain.

35:00 as CinemaWins puts it, "Liking things is more fun than not liking things." But sometimes you can't choose what you like or don't like. I have gone into many shows/movies WANTING to like it but being gutpunched when it rubbed me the wrong way. Not even high expectations or anything. Sometimes you can give something all the benefit of the doubt and still hate it. Happily that was not the case with this series. I liked it. It wasnt "perfectly faithful" to the books, and in my opinion that's a GOOD thing! It's funny how many book readers get bent out of shape over such miniscule details, but that's because they havent experienced a beloved series being adapted before. They were too young to understand how Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter were not perfectly faithful but yet still enjoyable, so now they get to experience the same nerd rage as the rest of us. But we oldies have seen books adapted for decades, some good, some terrible, and comparatively speaking, this adaptation is GREAT! IMO, this series is a better adaptation than the Harry Potter movies so far. We will see how books 2-5 go.

Clarisse doesn't get a "redemption arc" per se, but she does get more character development, and you come to understand the massive chip on her shoulder a bit better as the series progresses.

I'm also old enough to have been around for 2 girls 1 cup and a number of other crazy things that used to go on in the late 90s early 2000s internet. It was the wild west man. I also thought of "Squat cobbler" from Better Call Saul regarding sitting on the cake. But, yes, all of that was uncomfortable. Poor Huey.

I've been watching this series one episode a week and stopping here afterwards to see your reaction. Somehow I managed to get through this whole episode without figuring out who the heck the girl and her family was. It wasn't until I started watching your reaction and heard her mother call her "Juliette" that I suddenly made the connection and all the pieces fell in place. I don't think I'm normally so oblivious but I guess my presumption that all of those scenes were taking place in the present blinded me to the truth. I do like it when a show doesn't spell everything out for you, and gives you not only the space to put the clues together yourself, but also to misinterpret and follow them down blind alleys. Sometimes that can be fun, and I gotta hand it to the writers for demonstrating such subtlely and skill.

Yes, that was A Few Good Men and Jack Nicholson. Glad you got through this one with some uncomfortable laughter. 😂 Lattio was the previous sidekick so he must have been a supe right? Wonder what his power is. Maybe he's just some nerdy accountant at Vought. He disappears one day. His coworkers are still saying "Whatever happened to that guy Larry that used to work here?"
